BECOMING: THE WORD GUIDING MY LIFE, WORK & PURPOSE IN 2026

Happy New Year! Happy New Month! Happy Quarter 2!

There’s something about this time of year that feels more honest.

The pressure to “start strong” has worn off. And what’s left is a clearer picture of what we actually have the capacity for, what we truly want, and what we’re willing to commit to.

So while the calendar says we’re in April, this feels like the real beginning- and not the kind that comes with loud declarations or perfectly written resolutions, but the kind that is steadier, more grounded. The kind that is less about proving something and more about becoming something.

If the first three months of the year taught me anything, it’s that clarity doesn’t always come at the start. Sometimes, it reveals itself along the way.

And when it does, you move differently.

So here we are… This year, my word is becoming. Not all at once. Not in dramatic, life-changing moments. But slowly, in the quiet decisions. In the discipline no one applauds. In the moments where I choose growth over comfort, even when it would be easier not to.

Through prayer and meditation, this word came to me. I love it because it permits me to be in process. To not have everything figured out, but to still move with intention. To understand that who I am today is not final, and that there is a responsibility that comes with that.

Becoming is not glamorous.

It asks for sacrifice. It asks for consistency. It asks for a kind of honesty with yourself that isn’t always comfortable. There are things you outgrow. Habits you have to confront. Versions of yourself you have to release, even when they once felt familiar.

And sometimes, it’s quiet. It’s frustrating. It’s difficult. It looks like waking up and doing what needs to be done. It looks like choosing discipline when motivation isn’t there. It looks like holding the vision for your life, even when you’re not yet seeing the full picture.

For me, this season is looking like a refinement rather than a revelation.

Choosing to build with intention. Paying attention to the small details that shape the bigger picture. Letting go of the need to explain every step, and instead focusing on becoming someone whose work, presence, and life speak for themselves.

I’m learning that not everything needs to be shared to be meaningful.

Some things are better nurtured in private, allowed to grow without pressure, without noise.

And in that quiet, there is clarity.

I’ve realised that becoming isn’t about ambition or achievement. It’s about alignment.

It’s about asking yourself, Who am I being called to become? And then having the courage to take small, consistent steps in that direction.

You can become in your work. In your relationships. In how you show up for yourself. In the standards you set. In the boundaries you keep. In the life you are quietly building, even when no one is watching.

And maybe that’s the invitation for this season.

To allow yourself to become.

Not perfectly. Not all at once. But intentionally.

If there’s one thing I’m carrying into this new quarter, it’s this: Becoming doesn’t need an announcement. It needs commitment. A quiet, steady decision to choose growth, again and again.

And I think there’s something deeply beautiful about a life that is thoughtfully, intentionally… becoming.

So maybe this is your moment too. Not to have it all figured out, but to begin again with clarity and intention. To choose who you are becoming, one decision at a time. Permit yourself to grow into it. Quietly, steadily, and on your own terms.

Chin Chin to 2026- I hope it will be unforgettable in the most magical way ever!

Until next time!
